FAQs
As your local, hometown credit union, we're committed to helping you get through tough situations. The impact on our members is growing and we want to provide you with answers regarding the recent passing of the CARES Act. In an effort to provide relief to consumers and businesses during the coronavirus pandemic, the federal government has implemented a series of relief programs, including stimulus payments, also known as Economic Impact Payments.
The first group of stimulus payments for individuals is expected to be deposited into taxpayer accounts starting Wednesday, April 15. Many of our members won't need to take any action because the IRS already has your direct deposit information.
Who will receive the Economic Impact Payment automatically without taking additional steps?
Most eligible U.S. taxpayers will automatically receive their Economic Impact Payments including:
- Individuals who filed a federal income tax for 2018 or 2019
- Individuals who receive Social Security retirement, disability (SSDI), or survivor benefits
- Individuals who receive Railroad Retirement benefits
If you HAVE NOT filed a 2018 or 2019 federal income tax return you should enter your payment information here: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/non-filers-enter-payment-info-here
